C'est un thème dans lequel je m'étais enfermé à cette époque-là. Je ne sais pas pourquoi. Patti et moi passions du bon temps en Californie. Mais parfois, vous êtes enfermé dans une seule chanson, et vous tirez sur ce fil. J'avais Blind Spot, et j'ai tiré sur ce fil tout au long de l'album [...] Mais j'ai toujours aimé ces sessions pour Streets Of Philadelphia. Je pensais sortir cet album pendant le spectacle de Broadway. Je l'avais toujours mis de côté, mais je ne l'ai jamais jeté. (Bruce Springsteen.net)
